This portfolio is meant to showcase my writing experience and some types of writing I’ve focused on. These examples vary in length, tone, style, and purpose.
This post is an exercise in revising text on a website. I picked an existing website to indicate the things I look for when reviewing microcopy, rather than how I approach a first draft.
As part of the Human-centered Design Research course I took in early 2022, my classmates and I were tasked with following the Research and Design process from interview coding to high-fidelity prototype.
This is an example of technical writing I've written for PowerSchool in 2024 as part of the PowerSchool SIS user guide.
This paper was originally written for the LING 157: Psycholinguistics class at University of California, Santa Cruz. In the course, the group of students above created a research question related to class topics, conducted research using class resources, analyzed the resulting data, and drew conclusions based on that data.
This post was originally written after I tutored an upper division Psychology course. My primary job was to teach students how to read dense, high-level academic papers, and the instructions below address the main issues I saw students face, and the solutions I found worked for most people.
